Karen and Colin’s Stunning Country Wedding {Mt Mee Ocean View Wedding Photographer}

It was a lovely Saturday afternoon as I wound up the mountain road to Ocean View Estates Winery and Restaurant where Karen and Colin were preparing to celebrate their country wedding.

I drove up to the gorgeous 5 bedroom cabin where the bridal party were getting ready while admiring the horses grazing in the nearby field.

When it was time for the ceremony to begin, the clouds were sitting heavy in the sky and a few stray raindrops threatened to have us all huddling undercover but they blew away as the bride came riding down the hill in a lovely red tractor.

The ceremony was a lovely expression of the love between Karen and Colin in front of their family and closest friends.

The reception was held at the gorgeous little restaurant onsite, decorated with the most beautiful hand-made decorations by Karen and Mel.

But little did we know the best was yet to come.  I noticed there was something going on down the end of the restaurant.  Just then one of the bridesmaids came and told me I might want to come and see what was going on.

Karen took ‘trashing the dress’ to a whole new level. Chopping off the bottom of her gorgeous lace dress – and donating it to Angel Gowns – who make beautiful gowns for stillborn babies.

I think the best part of this was seeing the reaction on the guests faces

Congratulations to Karen and Colin on your beautiful wedding and I wish you every happiness to come!

Telina and Dylan’s Wedding Day {Dayboro Wedding Photographer}

Despite the clouds and forecast of showers it was a stunning day out in Dayboro for the stunning wedding of Telina and Dylan at Glengariff Historic Estate.

Quite possibly the most organised bride I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing, when I arrived at the lovely little cottage reserved for brides getting married out at Glengariff everyone was relaxed and ready to go.

Surrounded by her beautiful attendants this stunning bride slid into the most stunning lace dress and we had plenty of time to capture some shots before it was time to head to the ceremony down the hill at Glengariff Historic Estate.

The rain cleared and the sun came out for a beautiful ceremony that involved both their children as well.  The bride and groom shared some heartfelt vows before their guest who had come from near and far to celebrate a much anticipated wedding.

After the ceremony I stole the bridal party away to explore the gorgeous grounds of the historic winery.

And after all the speeches and dancing had been done, we celebrated two lives becoming one.  Congratulations Telina and Dylan and thank you for letting me share in your day.

Kylie and Jason {Gorgeous Shorncliffe Wedding}

These two love birds had a beautiful day in Shorncliffe for their nuptials. Jason and Kylie met through mutual friends four years ago and it was love at first sight! Not long after they were joined by their beautiful son Rylee who was such a big part of their special day.

The Full Moon Hotel at Shorncliffe hosted their gorgeous ceremony with beautiful light streaming in through the period style windows in the Shorncliffe Room. This room was then transformed into the Reception area while the wedding party went and had photos taken on the waterfront at Shorncliffe and then to stunning bushland area… where the mosquitoes thought they were also invited to the party.  But not even swarms of hungry mosquitoes could dampen the spirits of this fabulous wedding party.

Kylie and Jason, we wish you every happiness in your wedding and I hope you enjoy this snapshot of your wedding images.

Tamara and Spencer’s Gorgeous Country Wedding {Dayboro – Mt Pleasant Wedding Photographer}

On the 13th of December, the day was slightly overcast but this made for an absolutely beautiful day to get married at Henzell’s Chapel at Dayboro, Queensland.  Tamara and Spencer are a beautiful couple and I hope they enjoy this little preview of their wedding photos.

Tamara and Spencer have actually known each other for 8 years through good friends but didn’t actually start dating until the 15th April 2011.  On the 28th of August 2012 Spencer picked Tamara up in a Ferrari and they drove to Mt Tamborine to enjoy the sights and a coffee before heading to the lookout where Spencer proposed.

From that point on the wedding preparations started revolved around this and their story. They choose a country theme to celebrate their day and their love of the country. Tamara has been a resident of the scenic Dayboro area for over 20 years so the choice of Henzell’s Chapel for the ceremony was an easy one. Spencer fell in love with Henzell’s chapel at as soon as he saw it.   The reception at Mt Pleasant Hall was beautifully and elegantly decorated by the family with a focus on hessian trim and natural materials and was the  perfect place to have a gorgeous country reception.

I still do….

On Saturday the 24th of May I was blessed to be able to share a very special day with an amazing couple.  To celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary they renewed their vows surrounded by family and friends in the stunning grounds of The Laurals, Warwick, Queensland.

There were so many touching moments between this family. A gorgeous handwritten note by their daughter…

The ceremony took place as the winter sun was stinking down towards the horizon.  It was a beautiful family affair as the kids casually moved in and out and the couple recited their “thank you’s” to each other, as they acknowledged all those unique things that make married life the special adventure that it is.

Afterwards the three girls performed a song and dance to “Love is an Open Door” from the their favourite movie – Frozen which was absolutely delightful.
