Donna and Tino’s Stunning City Wedding

SMP_5269

It was an absolutely stunning afternoon as we gathered at St Mary’s Church at Kangaroo Point to watch this beautiful family become one.  As the bride and groom exchanged vows and the sun set over the Brisbane River we moved over to Victoria Point Golf Course for an amazing reception with the most gorgeous little touches. Congratulations to Donna and Tino and your family.  I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek of your wedding day.

Family Reunion {North Brisbane Family Photographer}

I first met this family a few years ago at my very first mini-session session.  Lynda and her children were the most delightful family to work with.  Since that first session I have had the privilege of photographing her family on two other occasions but I think this one has to be the most special.  This family session was to celebrate Lynda’s Nan coming to visit. Despite the drizzly rain that threatened to wash out the session the kids and Nan were fantastic and by the end the sun had even popped out for a bit.

Thank you Lynda for this very special opportunity and for allowing me yet another opportunity to capture your beautiful family and watch them grow.

Rachel and Andrew {Shorncliffe Maternity Photographer}

The rain clouds were hanging low over Shorncliffe when I got to meet this beautiful little family.  I honestly didn’t know if the rain would hold off for us but we were on a tight timeline with mumma at 38 weeks.

In the end the rain held off for us and we were able to capture some very special images for this gorgeous family before they welcomed their baby girl into the world.

Bringing Baby Home {Brisbane Newborn Lifestyle Photographer}

I got to visit little Myla and her family recently. Such a beautiful little girl. She decided, like many bubs on photo day that she didn’t really want to sleep.  The wonderful thing about newborn lifestyle photography is that wakeful babies mean lots of opportunities to capture those everyday moments like bath time and snuggles which is my favourite part.

Thank you so much for letting me come and capture some special moments for you.

Telina and Dylan’s Wedding Day {Dayboro Wedding Photographer}

Despite the clouds and forecast of showers it was a stunning day out in Dayboro for the stunning wedding of Telina and Dylan at Glengariff Historic Estate.

Quite possibly the most organised bride I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing, when I arrived at the lovely little cottage reserved for brides getting married out at Glengariff everyone was relaxed and ready to go.

Surrounded by her beautiful attendants this stunning bride slid into the most stunning lace dress and we had plenty of time to capture some shots before it was time to head to the ceremony down the hill at Glengariff Historic Estate.

The rain cleared and the sun came out for a beautiful ceremony that involved both their children as well.  The bride and groom shared some heartfelt vows before their guest who had come from near and far to celebrate a much anticipated wedding.

After the ceremony I stole the bridal party away to explore the gorgeous grounds of the historic winery.

And after all the speeches and dancing had been done, we celebrated two lives becoming one.  Congratulations Telina and Dylan and thank you for letting me share in your day.

Down by the river

My homework assignment this week inspired me to attempt something I have always wanted to try and my gorgeous model Katie brought the whole scene to life.  After some scouting around I finally found the right location at Cedar Creek in Samford.  Katie answered a model call-out on our Facebook page and travelled all the way from Toowoomba and even with some trouble finding the place she was an absolute delight to work with! Thank you for your generous donation of time Katie and I hope you enjoy your photos.

Thank you to all my clients

Welcome to 2014! I just wanted to take this time to thank all of my followers and clients who have supported me in this new photography venture as I move out of the realm of enthusiast to professional.  Although I am not taking new clients at the moment this year is going to be exciting.  I am undertaking a mentorship with a prominent Brisbane photographer and I am looking forward to learning and growing my photographic skills in the new year.

I hope you enjoy this video of my clients from 2013.

Engaged!

I just realised I hadn’t shared the most lovely engagement party I had the pleasure of photographing a few weeks ago and considering the storms here in beautiful Brisbane have been messing with my outdoor sessions it seemed like the perfect opportunity to share.

When my client gave me the address of this engagement party I was so excited! Dayboro has got to be one of my all time favourite places to photograph.

We took some time before the party started to get some family photos done.

Family Time

As the sun went down behind this gorgeous property I spent some time with this beautiful couple by themselves.

The happy couple

Before kicking up our heals and enjoying the party with a roaring bonfire, twinkling fairy lights and strings of lanterns.

But the best part of the story is that in just a little while I will get to capture this happy couple again as they say “I do”.  Stay tuned!
